A nice level rest area with plenty of tree coverage. We stayed one night and had the place to ourselves. You'll be right against the railroad and the coal trains roar through so be ready for that, it didn't bother us. Unsure of how locals feel about campers, we had someone drive in and have a look around at our set up from their car at about midnight so be street smart, keep your impact minimal and use the bins provided, though they are designated for street litter just don't go packing them out. No toilets, water or anything else in that way, but there is plenty of scenery.

Stayed 31st May 2019.Workers just mowing and cleaning the area. Very nice. Yes, trains run by BUT it was pretty good for an overnighter.Clean and no toilet paper around, bonus!!

Nice big area with trees for shade. Trains come about one every 3 to 4 hours, my experience that is. Overall a nice big site close to Quirindi.
