Always a nice spot this time even better as not a lot of campers, green grass but river near dry..support the town friendly folk.

Convenient, close to town - just a short walk. Lovely little town with great pub lunch and excellent affordable Spar with freshly baked bread onsite daily. Great 25m public pool for a cool down and swim. Very impressed with Texas clean and tidy. Worth checking out the local dam too with a lovely scenic drive and views.

'Rustic on High' thank you Chris n Jenny for your friendly country town service and for nice coffee n cake for only $5. It's nice to enjoy a smaller piece of cake instead of large serves. Camp area good and nice walk into town. Please support businesses and put receipts into box under camp shelter. Maria

Had a wonderful time here for 4 days. Camped on the river bed and thoroughly enjoyed it. Locals were friendly and chatty, will definitely be back.

What a great spot. Plenty of room. Love the town of Texas so welcoming and love the free shower. Please support town if you visit. .

A symphony of bird life at dawn and dusk. Fish can be observed swimming in the shallows. We found a private and secluded area to camp and were blessed by hand feeding King Parrots and Magpies. We rode our pushbikes into town. The town was a delight. Stopped for a cold beer at the pub and had a great handmade meat pie at the Spar on the corner. The Variety Store in the middle of town is place that has to be visited. The Rabbit Museum was a joy to behold with the added bonus of a historical collection that was simply amazing. Well done Texas, 10 out of 10.

We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. It was an easy walk into town. Great location!

Great spot on the outskirts of a VERY friendly town. Hot showers just off the main street. Dump spot with water available provided up by the council depot. If you're there on a Wednesday or Sunday, go to the bare foot bowls, the club is extremely welcoming of visitors and they go out of their way to make you welcome.

Nice free camp on the banks of the Dumaresq River. Nice walk into town along the dirt road past the racecourse

One of the best free camps we have been to. Grassy spots along the river, water refills and hot showers in town. Love the little gallery too. THANKYOU Texas and well done.
