Great little park. Only stayed one night but next time will stay longer and have a look around. Very friendly staff and good value.

Had another great time at this park. The same friendly welcome, shown to our site, so easy to park on the drive through. Then the fresh jam and cream scones arrive. The kids loved the fossil hut (free) and only a short walk to the open cut gold mine. To cap it all of because Leighton has watered the sites the green grass attracts the kangaroos.

Excellent this park! Good old fashioned service by Leighton, even a Devonshire scone at 4pm when we checked in! Great clean amenities and good shop full of stock!! We normally stop at Dubbo but glad we found this one! Good rates also! Well done!

Agree with the comments below and add heated floor in showers. One of the best in 30 pus years of banning.

Seriously the friendliest guy Ive met around the whole of Oz! So much info and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Drive through sites, private bin just for your site, quiet. Theres a free fossil room with cool stuff. Gold mine just up the street. And the great guy Leighton who is so helpful even has a Lolly stall !!

Clean. No traffic noise. Drive through sites. Enjoyed the free walk to old gold mines with a local called John lots of information and watching the amazing sunset. Recommend a stop over.

Back again after a time at Tamworth. Just as always great welcome guided to our site with the friendly joke to make us feel at home. And the meal at the new Woolshed cafe delicious and still just an easy walk from the caravan park. And we find out the rates DO NOT increase during peak season, even during the Elvis festival.

42 degree day so sprung for a cabin (yep sooks!). $82 for family of three peak season so can't complain...but if I could there'd be a couple of things to mention. Gave 3 stars for cheap and good aircon.

Fantastic park with easy drive-through sites, very well priced and right near the town. Had an awesome night walking around town checking out all the old buildings. Leighton is a fantastic manager, courteous and walked me out and guided me on-site as I was traveling on my own. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks

What a great park. Leighton & Pauline have been providing wonderful service for many years. From the smile at the check in desk to the jokes as he guides you to your site. Then the scones to have with your cupa just delicious. Located just off the highway so very little noise but still only a short walk to the club's, shops and cafe's.

Liked it... spent two nights. Clean dump point. More in the shop than the supermarket in town! LPG at $19.00 for guests. Good drive throughs. Only down side...Leighton - please dont leave the scones outside the van (unwrapped) when we arent there. Would go back! (Also check Double D park on other side of town) - imho a bit better...

Having spent several months in Qld paying high prices for little value it's a pleasure to come 'home' to the Double D. Run by 2 of the nicest lunatics you will meet who focus on service, value & the customer. Many Parks could take a lesson. Do yourself a favour - don't go past. We'll be back, if only to see what these lunatics get up to next!!
