A nice little Showgrounds, locals are very friendly. A bit of noise from the trains but didnt bother us....well stay there again...
Well done to the local community! Don't forget to put your receipts for money spent into the box!
One of the best showgrounds around. Worth the 13kms detour from the highway.
Rosewood showgrounds has reopened for camping from 2nd July. Phone 0481382049 for bookings.
Reminder - this site is closed from 24th June to 6th July for the Rosewood Show
Great place, big clean sites, very clean amenities, shower exceptional. Close to town. Highly recommended. $15 for power and water. M&P
Facilities are clean now. Its the people using them that creates the problems I dont understand how people make a mess and think its someone elses problem to clean it up. I can imagine that these people dont live in a clean environment and have no respect for other people to use the facilities and for the volunteers who manage the Showgrounds
Disgusting!! Shame on the Campers using these facilities, the Lions Club & the Showground Committee. The toilets & showers are filthy & especially the Disabled! There is dirt & faeces encrusted on the toilet bowls, the showers are filthy as are the hand basins! Its a health hazard! Camp area in poor condition with limited water taps available!
Totally agree trains can be a nuisance but not to everyone. Great sites with p/w and unpowered. Very good amenities and dump point. Easy walk to shops , butcher, bakery, drakes supermarket, Laundromat, good base to see Ipswich area not far from Brisbane. Great showground great little town.
Thanks Rosewood. What a great find. Flat walk into town which has a big Drakes/IGA and hairdressers doctors dentist, lots of pubs for lunch and train directly to Ipswich and Brisbane. Love this little town
All of the below, except the trains at night might might be a concern for some. Spent money at the pub (tea) super market, bakery and chemist
Excellent facilities, Lions Club volunteers are friendly and the I.G.A. supermarket and it's staff leave Coles and Woolies for dead.
OFFICIAL NOTICE - this campground will be closed from 24th June to 7th July due to the Rosewood Show
Good level sites. Facilities are good and clean. Great value for money. Be aware of train noise at night.
Train into Ipswich and Brisbane 75min
2nd time here. Cost effective for families at $15 per site. Drakes supermarket behind main street does free morning tea of a Wed. Support this lovely community minded supermarket.
Good grassy areas, good, clean toilet & shower ( great water pressure), close to town, $105 weekly. Thankyou Rosewood
Love staying here when hv local appointments hv us in the area Close to rown ..great price ..grass sites .. clean ammenities .. dump point n free wifi Visit this time spoilt by people who think the rules about restraining dogs n cats dont apply to them
Does the State Natural Resources Act apply to all Showgrounds? Council as well as privately leased Showgrounds? ie. 7 day limit.
Back again for the fifth time, great spot filling a low cost alternative.
Great camp. Love trains no hassles. Nice showers. Nice people. Lovely town. Will return.
Good camp, apart from a few trains at night however it is what it is and the positives far outweigh the negatives. Very friendly caretaker that collects the money at night and a good source of local knowledge
Lovely spot to stay nice grassed area Clean ammenities friendly guy from Lions who collected our money Bonus free WiFi
Loved Rowewood, nice, large grassy, fairly level area. Excellent spotless, amenities until the horse people came in & just let their children run riot in them, climbing on & breaking seats & leaving toilets full of & covered in poop, disgusting, no parental supervision. A bit of rail noise which you get used to, walk to shops. Recommend weekdays.
Great stop. Trains noisier at night but got used to it on day two. We tent it so to be expected. Easy walk to town. Very clean and plenty of room. Friendly and spent money petrol good prices. Pub meals good. Thanks
Stayed 3 nights, fabulous spot. Best hot shower Ive had for ages. Lovely friendly town. Caught the train to Brisbane for the day, 1.5hrs in. Thanks Rosewood for the great facilities and free wifi to boot
Stayed here a week. Yes you hear the trains, but its only a few seconds. People do need to make a living. Excellent facilities. So nice to see smaller country towns surviving. Put your local purchases dockets in the wooden box @ the toilets so they can see what $ its bringing to the town. Thank you Rosewood we will come again.
Enjoyed our 2 days here. Yes the train is loud and shakes the van but still a great place to stay. Well done Lions. Thank you also to Ipswich Council for the free wifi.
